Technology has changed radically since the 1930's. Shouldn't your conveyors take advantage of those changes? If your current conveyors hang a gear reducer and motor on one side, or underneath the conveyor, and couple power to the head pulley via chain and sprocket, you are dealing with a number of issues. 1. Inefficient power transfer 2. T he chain needs to be guarded to prevent pinch points from capturing and injuring workers. 3. Exposure to dirt in the environment leads to shortened life and/or the need to lubricate frequently. 4. Tracking belts via the 1930's take-ups is an art form that is not always understood by the maintenance crews. Do it wrong, and you have shortened the life of your belt, and possibly your bearings. The Trax-Rite conveyors with the motor and gearbox enclosed in the head pulley are a better choice for today's manufactring plants because: 1 . Efficiency - Up to 96% efficient power transfer leads to huge cost savings over the life of the equipment. 2. Safety - Enclosing the electric motor and gearbox eliminates exposure of your work force to hazardous moving parts, pinch points, and potential electrical shock, and more readily complies with OSHA standards. 3. Reliability - The sealed design keeps your workers cleaner, and at the same time, keeps life-shortening dirt out. Containing the lubrication also keeps your products from being contaminated. Also, Trax-Rite conveyors utilize tracking beads vulcanized to the back side of the belt to insure precise belt tracking. Time consuming adjustments and belt "training" are a thing of the past.
4. Ease-of-use
- The slotted side rails were designed to simplify adding and repositioning
